Try a few of these simple tips:
- Finish eating 2 to 3 hours before you go to bed.
- Eat smaller, lower-fat meals rather than large, high-fat ones.
- Avoid fried or fatty foods, heavily seasoned or spicy foods, as well as onions, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, and peppermint.
- Stay away from tight clothing and belts.
- Raise the head of your bed 4 to 6 inches.
- Try to lose extra weight.
- If you're a smoker, try to stop.
